Profile:

A writer and English teacher, I moved to Grenoble in 2004. At the time, I didn't know I was moving and just thought I was here to do a Masters degree in Anglophone studies and American civilization. I like Grenoble because it is just under the radar for the big touristy places. It's not Paris, it's not Provence, yet it still has a lot going for it. It's a short drive from Lyon for some authentic bouchon cuisine and I don't think there's a city so close to so many ski resorts this side of the Atlantic.
