Can I remind you that this is an interview with Elizabeth, and putting comments here will not be forwarded automatically to her. If you wish to contact her, her details are at the bottom of the interview, but remember that she is a private practitioner and may not be able to advise you on training and careers.

I have been studying in California at SBGI, studying somatic psychology....for licensure at masters level, after an undergraduate degree in the arts.
to be honest I am in a pickle as I am waiting for their accreditation to come through, which is going to take another two years, and don't think i want to graduate before this occurs.
I am moving back to Europe I think, but my country of origin, England, is not a place I really enjoy living and so have been thinking about moving to France
I have been accepted for a course studying dance movement therapy at Goldsmiths, and was thinking that i could study there part time and commute from paris....I know that that sounds like a lot but it would mean living in Paris and spending one night in london a week...
I am also considering deferring for a year and applying to study dance and drama therapy at the sesame institute....
and then i am also considering throwing it all in the bag and just starting with something entirely different....or trying to see what i can make of things without the degree.....
My interests lie in the arts, nature and spirituality and community work and how these apply to therapy.
I dont know if you know of a way i could practice and or train in France. My french is okay, but i will need to learn a lot, but i am motivated and will learn quickly.
All the very best, I very much enjoyed reading about you and the work you do. My family is based in the South West, near Orthez, Hagetmou kind of area.
Sincerly,
Elise
I will call you Thursday three in the afternoon, my time.
001-212-222-1693
would sixty euros for a fourty minute consultation sound okay?
All the best,
Elise

Dear Elizabeth<br

I suggest that you look at the website of the national Italian Art Therapy Association, APIART, to see their complete listing of all the schools of art therapy that are accredited by in Italy. APIART can be found at: www.apiart.org, To my knowledge, all of the training programs are run as private institutes; none are as yet housed within a university setting.
Do not hesitate to ask me for more information, if you wish.
Best wishes,
Elizabeth Stone Matho

Hello Maria,

I suggest that you look at the website of the national Italian Art Therapy Association, APIART, to see their complete listing of all the schools of art therapy that are accredited by in Italy. University education in Grenoble would be at the Université Pierre Mendès-France.
In Lyon it would the Université Lumière Lyon 2
Then the link below lists organisations providing certification in Psychotherapy - better recognised ones are followed by CEP, CFdP or EAPTI:
CEP - Certificat Européen de Psychothérapie.
CFdP - Certificat Français de Psychothérapie.
EAPTI - European Accredited Psychotherapy Training Institute

Hopefully this will provide a start....

One never knows when the need for psychological help and support might arise, and personally I find the idea of seeking this kind of help *in French* pretty overwhelming.

The anglophones in Grenoble are fortunate to have Dr Stone Matho as a resource.
